And David will say to the youth announcing to him, From whence thou? and he will say, I the son of a man, a stranger, an Amalekite.


And David will say to him, From whence wilt thou come? and he will say to him, From the camp of Israel I escaped.


And he will say to me, Who thou? and I shall say to him, I an Amalekite.


The just one shall know the soul of his cattle: and the compassion of the unjust are cruel.


And they will say to him, Announce now to us, on account of whom is this evil to us? what thy work? and from whence wilt thou come? what thy land? and from what people art thou?


For unpropitiated judgment to him not doing mercy; and mercy boasteth against judgment.


And they will give to him a piece of a cake of dried figs and two bunches of dried grapes: and he will eat and his spirit will turn back to him, for he ate not bread and drank not water three days and three nights.


We plundered the south of the Cherethite, and upon that to Judah, and upon the south of Caleb; and Ziklag we burnt with fire.
