15 And when Aharon and his sons have made an end of covering the sanctuary, and all the vessels of the sanctuary, as the camp is to set forward; after that, the sons of Khat shall come to bear it: but they shall not touch any holy thing, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Khat in the tabernacle of the congregation.

And lo Zadok also, and all the Lvim were with him, bearing the ark of the covenant of Elohim: and they set down the ark of Elohim; and Evyatar went up, until all the people had done passing out of the city.


And it was so, that when they that bare the ark of YY had gone six paces, he sacrificed oxen and fatlings.


And all the elders of Yisrael came, and the kohanim took up the ark.


And the children of the Lvim bare the ark of Elohim upon their shoulders with the staves thereon, as Moshe Commanded according to the word of YY .


Then David said, None ought to carry the ark of Elohim but the Lvim: for them hath YY chosen to carry the ark of Elohim, and to minister unto him for ever.


And also unto the Lvim; they shall no more carry the tabernacle, nor any vessels of it for the service thereof.


And thou shalt set bounds unto the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves, that ye go not up into the mount, or touch the border of it: whosoever toucheth the mount shall be surely put to death:


And YY said unto Moshe, Go down, charge the people, lest they break through unto YY to gaze, and many of them perish.


And the staves shall be put into the rings, and the staves shall be upon the two sides of the altar, to bear it.


And he shall put the incense upon the fire before YY , that the cloud of the incense may cover the mercy seat that is upon the testimony, that he die not:


But thou shalt appoint the Lvim over the tabernacle of testimony, and over all the vessels thereof, and over all things that belong to it: they shall bear the tabernacle, and all the vessels thereof; and they shall minister unto it, and shall encamp round about the tabernacle.


And when the tabernacle setteth forward, the Lvim shall take it down: and when the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Lvim shall set it up: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.


And the Khatites set forward, bearing the sanctuary: and the other did set up the tabernacle against they came.


And they shall keep thy charge, and the charge of all the tabernacle: only they shall not come nigh the vessels of the sanctuary and the altar, that neither they, nor ye also, die.


But those that encamp before the tabernacle toward the east, even before the tabernacle of the congregation eastward, shall be Moshe, and Aharon and his sons, keeping the charge of the sanctuary for the charge of the children of Yisrael; and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.


And they shall put upon it all the vessels thereof, wherewith they minister about it, even the censers, the fleshhooks, and the shovels, and the basons, all the vessels of the altar; and they shall spread upon it a covering of badgers' skins, and put to the staves of it.


But thus do unto them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach unto the most holy things: Aharon and his sons shall go in, and appoint them every one to his service and to his burden:


But they shall not go in to see when the holy things are covered, lest they die.


But unto the sons of Khat he gave none: because the service of the sanctuary belonging unto them was that they should bear upon their shoulders.


And Moshe wrote this Torah, and delivered it unto the kohanim the sons of Levi, which bare the ark of the covenant of YY , and unto all the elders of Yisrael.


For the kohanim which bare the ark stood in the midst of Yarden, until everything was finished that YY Commanded Y'howshu`a to speak unto the people, according to all that Moshe Commanded Y'howshu`a: and the people hasted and passed over.


And he smote the men of Bethshemesh, because they had looked into the ark of YY , even he smote of the people fifty thousand and threescore and ten men: and the people lamented, because YY had smitten many of the people with a great slaughter.
