And Heshbon shall cry, and Elealeh: their voice shall be heard even unto YAHaz: therefore the armed soldiers of Moab shall cry out; his life shall be grievous unto him.


And judgment is come upon the plain country; upon Holon, and upon YAHazah, and upon Mephaath,


From the cry of Heshbon even unto Elealeh, and even unto YAHaz, have they uttered their voice, from Zoar even unto Horonaim, as an heifer of three years old: for the waters also of Nimrim shall be desolate.


Yet destroyed I the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath.


And Edom said unto him, Thou shalt not pass by me, lest I come out against thee with the sword.


Thus Edom refused to give Yisrael passage through his border: wherefore Yisrael turned away from him.


On this side Yarden, in the valley over against Bethpeor, in the land of Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt at Heshbon, whom Moshe and the children of Yisrael smote, after they were come forth out of Egypt:


And YAHaza, and Kedemoth, and Mephaath,


But Sihon trusted not Yisrael to pass through his coast: but Sihon gathered all his people together, and pitched in YAHaz, and fought against Yisrael.
