Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses.


And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive.


And the children of Yisrael said unto them, Would to Elohim we had died by the hand of YY in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.


And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moshe, and said, Wherefore is this that thou hast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?


And he said, Who made thee a prince and a judge over us? intendest thou to kill me, as thou killedst the Egyptian? And Moshe feared, and said, Surely this thing is known.


And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Yisrael sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto Elohim by reason of the bondage.


Seemeth it a small thing unto you to have eaten up the good pasture, but ye must tread down with your feet the residue of your pastures? and to have drunk of the deep waters, but ye must foul the residue with your feet?


But even a whole month, until it come out at your nostrils, and it be loathsome unto you: because that ye have despised YY which is among you, and have wept before him, saying, Why came we forth out of Egypt?


And the mixt multitude that was among them fell a lusting: and the children of Yisrael also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat?


We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlick:


And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.


And all the children of Yisrael murmured against Moshe and against Aharon: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would Elohim that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would Elohim we had died in this wilderness!


And wherefore hath YY brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt?


And Moshe sent to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab: which said, We will not come up:


But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.


This Moshe whom they refused, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge? the same did Elohim send to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel which appeared to him in the bush.
