And Yaakov rent his clothes, and put sackcloth upon his loins, and mourned for his son many days.


Then they rent their clothes, and laded every man his ass, and returned to the city.


And David said to Yoav, and to all the people that were with him, Rend your clothes, and gird you with sackcloth, and mourn before Abner. And king David himself followed the bier.


Then came Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, which was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah the son of Asaph the recorder, to Hizkiyah-yahu with their clothes rent, and told him the words of Rabshakeh.


Then Iyov arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped,


And Kalev stilled the people before Moshe, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.


Of the tribe of Yhudah, Kalev the son of Yfuneh.


Of the tribe of Efrayim, Oshea the son of Nun.


But my servant Kalev, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it.


Doubtless ye shall not come into the land, concerning which I sware to make you dwell therein, save Kalev the son of Yfuneh, and Y'howshu`a the son of Nun.


But Y'howshu`a the son of Nun, and Kalev the son of Yfuneh, which were of the men that went to search the land, lived still.


Then Moshe and Aharon fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Yisrael.


And they spake unto all the company of the children of Yisrael, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land.


Then kohen hagadol rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy.


Then kohen hagadol rent his clothes, and saith, What need we any further witnesses?


Which when the emissaries, Bar-Nabba and Paul, heard of, they rent their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out,


Then the children of Yhudah came unto Y'howshu`a in Gilgal: and Kalev the son of Yfuneh the Kenezite said unto him, Thou knowest the thing that YY said unto Moshe the man of Elohim concerning me and thee in Kadeshbarnea.


And Y'howshu`a rent his clothes, and fell to the earth upon his face before the ark of YY until the eventide, he and the elders of Yisrael, and put dust upon their heads.


And it came to pass, when he saw her, that he rent his clothes, and said, Alas, my daughter! thou hast brought me very low, and thou art one of them that trouble me: for I have opened my mouth unto YY , and I cannot go back.
