Then Abram removed his tent, and came and dwelt in the plain of Mamre, which is in Hevron, and built there an altar unto YY .


And Sarah died in Kiryat-Arba; the same is Hevron in the land of Kenaan: and Avraham came to mourn for Sarah, and to weep for her.


And it came to pass after this, that David enquired of YY , saying, Shall I go up into any of the cities of Yhudah? And YY said unto him, Go up. And David said, Whither shall I go up? And he said, Unto Hevron.


And the time that David was king in Hevron over the house of Yhudah was seven years and six months.


And Ishbibenob, which was of the sons of the giant, the weight of whose spear weighed three hundred shekels of brass in weight, he being girded with a new sword, thought to have slain David.


Marvellous things did he in the sight of their fathers, in the land of Egypt, in the field of Zoan.

And to them which were in Hevron, and to all the places where David himself and his men were wont to haunt.
