The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.


For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?


And when the Prushim saw it, they said unto his talmidim, Why eateth your Rabbi with publicans and sinners?


And as he spake, a certain Prushim besought him to dine with him: and he went in, and sat down to meat.


And it came to pass, as he went into the house of one of the chief Prushim to eat bread on the Sabbath Day, that they watched him.


And the Prushim and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.


And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner.


And Levi made him a great feast in his own house: and there was a great company of publicans and of others that sat down with them.
