And Rachel died, and was buried in the way to Ephrath, which is Bethlehem.


And as for me, when I came from Padan, Rachel died by me in the land of Kenaan in the way, when yet there was but a little way to come unto Ephrath: and I buried her there in the way of Ephrath; the same is Bethlehem.


But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Yhudah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Yisrael; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.


But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of YY appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Yosef, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Miryam thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of Ruach HaKodesh.


And he came and dwelt in a city called Natzeret: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Natzrati.


And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.


To be taxed with Miryam his espoused wife, being great with child.


And he came to Natzeret, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the Synagogue on the Sabbath Day, and stood up for to read.


And Natanel said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Natzeret? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.


Hath not the Scripture said, That Moshiach cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Beit-Lechem, where David was?


So they two went until they came to Bethlehem. And it came to pass, when they were come to Bethlehem, that all the city was moved about them, and they said, Is this Naomi?


And, behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem, and said unto the reapers, YY be with you. And they answered him, YY bless thee.


And all the people that were in the gate, and the elders, said, We are witnesses. YY make the woman that is come into thine house like Rachel and like Leah, which two did build the house of Yisrael: and do thou worthily in Ephratah, and be famous in Bethlehem:


And the women her neighbours gave it a name, saying, There is a son born to Naomi; and they called his name Oved: he is the father of Yishai, the father of David.


And YY said unto Shmuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Yisrael? fill thine shofar with oil, and go, I will send thee to Yishai the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons.


And Shmuel did that which YY spake, and came to Bethlehem. And the elders of the town trembled at his coming, and said, Comest thou peaceably?


Now David was the son of that Ephrathite of BethlehemYhudah, whose name was Yishai; and he had eight sons: and the man went among men for an old man in the days of Saul.


And Saul said to him, Whose son art thou, thou young man? And David answered, I am the son of thy servant Yishai the Bethlehemite.


If thy father at all miss me, then say, David earnestly asked leave of me that he might run to Bethlehem his city: for there is a yearly sacrifice there for all the family.
