These were the orderings of them in their service to come into the house of YY , according to their manner, under Aharon their father, as YY Elohim of Yisrael had Commanded him.


But Nadav and Abihu died before their father, and had no children: therefore Eleazar and Ithamar executed the kohen's office.


For the Lvim left their suburbs and their possession, and came to Yhudah and Yerushalayim: for Yarovam and his sons had cast them off from executing the kohen's office unto YY :


Also of the sons of Aharon the kohanim, which were in the fields of the suburbs of their cities, in every several city, the men that were expressed by name, to give portions to all the males among the kohanim, and to all that were reckoned by genealogies among the Lvim.


And Hizkiyah-yahu appointed the courses of the kohanim and the Lvim after their courses, every man according to his service, the kohanim and Lvim for burnt offerings and for peace offerings, to minister, and to give thanks, and to praise in the gates of the tents of YY .


And he appointed, according to the order of David his father, the courses of the kohanim to their service, and the Lvim to their charges, to praise and minister before the kohanim, as the duty of every day required: the porters also by their courses at every gate: for so had David the man of Elohim Commanded.


And they set the kohanim in their divisions, and the Lvim in their courses, for the service of Elohim, which is at Yerushalayim; as it is written in the book of Moshe.


And take thou unto thee Aharon thy brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Yisrael, that he may minister unto me in the kohen's office, even Aharon, Nadav and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aharon's sons.


And thou shalt put them upon Aharon thy brother, and his sons with him; and shalt anoint them, and consecrate them, and sanctify them, that they may minister unto me in the kohen's office.


And this is the thing that thou shalt do unto them to hallow them, to minister unto me in the kohen's office: Take one young bullock, and two rams without blemish,


And I will sanctify the tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar: I will sanctify also both Aharon and his sons, to minister to me in the kohen's office.


And thou shalt gird them with girdles, Aharon and his sons, and put the bonnets on them: and the kohen's office shall be theirs for a perpetual statute: and thou shalt consecrate Aharon and his sons.


And thou shalt anoint Aharon and his sons, and consecrate them, that they may minister unto me in the kohen's office.


Therefore thou and thy sons with thee shall keep your kohen's office for everything of the altar, and within the vail; and ye shall serve: I have given your kohen's office unto you as a service of gift: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.


There was in the days of Herod, the king of Yhudah, a certain kohen named Zkharyah, of the course of Aviyah: and his wife was of the daughters of Aharon, and her name was Elisheva.


And they had no child, because that Elisheva was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years.
