All these were joined together in the vale of Siddim, which is the salt sea.


Baana the son of Ahilud; to him pertained Taanach and Megiddo, and all Bethshean, which is by Zartanah beneath Yizreel, from Bethshean to Abelmeholah, even unto the place that is beyond Jokneam:


In the plain of Yarden did the king cast them, in the clay ground between Sukkot and Zarthan.


The sea saw it, and fled: Yarden was driven back.


What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Yarden, that thou wast driven back?


YY sitteth upon the flood; yea, YY sitteth King for ever.


He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses.


He turned the sea into dry land: they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him.


Thou didst cleave the fountain and the flood: thou driedst up mighty rivers.


Thy way is in the sea, and thy path in the great waters, and thy footsteps are not known.


He divided the sea, and caused them to pass through; and he made the waters to stand as an heap.


And Moshe stretched out his hand over the sea; and YY caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.


And the children of Yisrael went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.


But the children of Yisrael walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea; and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.


And with the blast of thy nostrils the waters were gathered together, the floods stood upright as an heap, and the depths were congealed in the heart of the sea.


Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because there is no water, and dieth for thirst.


Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed.


He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers: Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lvanon languisheth.


Was YY displeased against the rivers? was thine anger against the rivers? was thy wrath against the sea, that thou didst ride upon thine horses and thy chariots of salvation?


Then your south quarter shall be from the wilderness of Zin along by the coast of Edom, and your south border shall be the outmost coast of the salt sea eastward:


These be the words which Moshe spake unto all Yisrael on this side Yarden in the wilderness, in the plain over against the Red sea, between Paran, and Tophel, and Laban, and Hazeroth, and DizAchav.


The plain also, and Yarden, and the coast thereof, from Chinnereth even unto the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, under Ashdothpisgah eastward.


And from the plain to the sea of Chinneroth on the east, and unto the sea of the plain, even the salt sea on the east, the way to Bethjeshimoth; and from the south, under Ashdothpisgah:


And their south border was from the shore of the salt sea, from the bay that looketh southward:


And it went down from Janohah to Ataroth, and to Naarath, and came to Yericho, and went out at Yarden.


And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the kohanim that bear the ark of YY , YY of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of Yarden, that the waters of Yarden shall be cut off from the waters that come down from above; and they shall stand upon an heap.


Then ye shall let your children know, saying, Yisrael came over this Yarden on dry land.


And it came to pass, when all the kings of the Amorites, which were on the side of Yarden westward, and all the kings of the Kenaanim, which were by the sea, heard that YY had dried up the waters of Yarden from before the children of Yisrael, until we were passed over, that their heart melted, neither was there spirit in them any more, because of the children of Yisrael.


And the three hundred blew the shofars, and YY set every man's sword against his fellow, even throughout all the host: and the host fled to Bethshittah in Zererath, and to the border of Abelmeholah, unto Tabbath.
