And Laban said, This heap is a witness between me and thee this day. Therefore was the name of it called Galeed;


This heap be witness, and this pillar be witness, that I will not pass over this heap to thee, and that thou shalt not pass over this heap and this pillar unto me, for harm.


YY is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.


In that day shall there be an altar to YY in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to YY .


Then there shall be a place which YY your Elohim shall choose to cause his name to dwell there; thither shall ye bring all that I Command you; your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the heave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye vow unto YY :


And when they came unto the borders of Yarden, that are in the land of Kenaan, the children of Reuven and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Mnasheh built there an altar by Yarden, a great altar to see to.


Therefore we said, Let us now prepare to build us an altar, not for burnt offering, nor for sacrifice:


Therefore said we, that it shall be, when they should so say to us or to our generations in time to come, that we may say again, Behold the pattern of the altar of YY , which our fathers made, not for burnt offerings, nor for sacrifices; but it is a witness between us and you.


And the children of Reuven and the children of Gad called the altar Ed: for it shall be a witness between us that YY is Elohim.


And Y'howshu`a said unto all the people, Behold, this stone shall be a witness unto us; for it hath heard all the words of YY which he spake unto us: it shall be therefore a witness unto you, lest ye deny your Elohim.


Then Shmuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpeh and Shen, and called the name of it Ebenezer, saying, Hitherto hath YY helped us.
