And the children of Yisrael fled before Yhudah: and Elohim delivered them into their hand.


And I will set thy bounds from the Red sea even unto the sea of the Plishtim, and from the desert unto the river: for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand; and thou shalt drive them out before thee.


And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.


As a beast goeth down into the valley, the Spirit of YY caused him to rest: so didst thou lead thy people, to make thyself a glorious name.


From Aroer, which is by the brink of the river of Arnon, and from the city that is by the river, even unto Gilad, there was not one city too strong for us: YY our Elohim delivered all unto us:


When thou goest forth to war against thine enemies, and YY thy Elohim hath delivered them into thine hands, and thou hast taken them captive,


There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of Elohim.


Remember the word which Moshe the servant of YY Commanded you, saying, YY your Elohim hath given you rest, and hath given you this land.


Until YY have given your brethren rest, as he hath given you, and they also have possessed the land which YY your Elohim giveth them: then ye shall return unto the land of your possession, and enjoy it, which Moshe YY 's servant gave you on this side Yarden toward the sunrising.


There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moshe, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.


And all the cities of those kings, and all the kings of them, did Y'howshu`a take, and smote them with the edge of the sword, and he utterly destroyed them, as Moshe the servant of YY Commanded.


So Y'howshu`a took the whole land, according to all that YY said unto Moshe; and Y'howshu`a gave it for an inheritance unto Yisrael according to their divisions by their tribes. And the land rested from war.


And YY delivered them into the hand of Yisrael, who smote them, and chased them unto great Zidon, and unto Misrephothmaim, and unto the valley of Mizpeh eastward; and they smote them, until they left them none remaining.


And they said unto Y'howshu`a, Truly YY hath delivered into our hands all the land; for even all the inhabitants of the country do faint because of us.


And now YY your Elohim hath given rest unto your brethren, as he promised them: therefore now return ye, and get you unto your tents, and unto the land of your possession, which Moshe the servant of YY gave you on the other side Yarden.


And the children of Reuven and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Mnasheh returned, and departed from the children of Yisrael out of Shiloh, which is in the land of Kenaan, to go unto the country of Gilad, to the land of their possession, whereof they were possessed, according to the word of YY by the hand of Moshe.


And it came to pass a long time after that YY had given rest unto Yisrael from all their enemies round about, that Y'howshu`a waxed old and stricken in age.
