And this is the reason of the levy which king Shlomo raised; for to build the house of YY , and his own house, and Millo, and the wall of Yerushalayim, and Hazor, and Megiddo, and Gezer.


But when Ahaziah the king of Yhudah saw this, he fled by the way of the garden house. And Yehu followed after him, and said, Smite him also in the chariot. And they did so at the going up to Gur, which is by Ibleam. And he fled to Megiddo, and died there.


And out of the half tribe of Mnasheh; Aner with her suburbs, and Bileam with her suburbs, for the family of the remnant of the sons of Khat.


And by the borders of the children of Mnasheh, Bethshean and her towns, Taanach and her towns, Megiddo and her towns, Dor and her towns. In these dwelt the children of Yosef the son of Yisrael.


Nevertheless Yoshiyah-yahu would not turn his face from him, but disguised himself, that he might fight with him, and hearkened not unto the words of Nkho from the mouth of Elohim, and came to fight in the valley of Megiddo.


Which perished at Ein-Dor: they became as dung for the earth.


Therefore, behold, the days come, saith YY , that I will cause an alarm of war to be heard in Rabbah of the Ammonites; and it shall be a desolate heap, and her daughters shall be burned with fire: then shall Yisrael be heir unto them that were his heirs, saith YY .


In that day shall there be a great mourning in Yerushalayim, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.


And to the kings that were on the north of the mountains, and of the plains south of Chinneroth, and in the valley, and in the borders of Dor on the west,


The king of Taanach, one; the king of Megiddo, one;


The king of Dor in the coast of Dor, one; the king of the nations of Gilgal, one;


And the separate cities for the children of Efrayim were among the inheritance of the children of Mnasheh, all the cities with their villages.


Southward it was Efrayim's, and northward it was Mnasheh's, and the sea is his border; and they met together in Asher on the north, and in Yissakhar on the east.


And the children of Yosef said, The hill is not enough for us: and all the Kenaanim that dwell in the land of the valley have chariots of iron, both they who are of Bethshean and her towns, and they who are of the valley of Yizreel.


Neither did Mnasheh drive out the inhabitants of Bethshean and her towns, nor Taanach and her towns, nor the inhabitants of Dor and her towns, nor the inhabitants of Ibleam and her towns, nor the inhabitants of Megiddo and her towns: but the Kenaanim would dwell in that land.


The kings came and fought, then fought the kings of Kenaan in Taanach by the waters of Megiddo; they took no gain of money.


Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and enquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Ein-Dor.


And they put his armour in the house of Ashtaroth: and they fastened his body to the wall of Bethshan.


All the valiant men arose, and went all night, and took the body of Saul and the bodies of his sons from the wall of Bethshan, and came to Jabesh, and burnt them there.
