Now they made a conspiracy against him in Yerushalayim: and he fled to Lachish; but they sent after him to Lachish, and slew him there.


And Hizkiyah-yahu king of Yhudah sent to the king of Ashur to Lachish, saying, I have offended; return from me: that which thou puttest on me will I bear. And the king of Ashur appointed unto Hizkiyah-yahu king of Yhudah three hundred talents of silver and thirty talents of gold.


And the king of Ashur sent Tartan and Rabsaris and Rabshakeh from Lachish to king Hizkiyah-yahu with a great host against Yerushalayim. And they went up and came to Yerushalayim. And when they were come up, they came and stood by the conduit of the upper pool, which is in the highway of the fuller's field.


So Rabshakeh returned, and found the king of Ashur warring against Libnah: for he had heard that he was departed from Lachish.


Yoshiyah-yahu was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned thirty and one years in Yerushalayim. And his mother's name was Jedidah, the daughter of Adaiah of Boscath.


Wherefore Adonizedec king of Yerushalayim, sent unto Hoham king of Hevron, and unto Piram king of Jarmuth, and unto Japhia king of Lachish, and unto Debir king of Eglon, saying,


And from Lachish Y'howshu`a passed unto Eglon, and all Yisrael with him; and they encamped against it, and fought against it:


And Dilean, and Mizpeh, and Joktheel,
