And it came to pass at the return of the year, that Benhadad numbered the Syrians, and went up to Aphek, to fight against Yisrael.


But the rest fled to Aphek, into the city; and there a wall fell upon twenty and seven thousand of the men that were left. And Benhadad fled, and came into the city, into an inner chamber.


And say, Thus saith YY Elohim unto Yerushalayim; Thy birth and thy nativity is of the land of Kenaan; thy father was an Amorite, and thy mother an Hittite.


Also I brought you up from the land of Egypt, and led you forty years through the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorite.


So Y'howshu`a smote all the country of the hills, and of the south, and of the vale, and of the springs, and all their kings: he left none remaining, but utterly destroyed all that breathed, as YY Elohim of Yisrael Commanded.


And to the Kenaanite on the east and on the west, and to the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Yvusi in the mountains, and to the Hivite under Hermon in the land of Mizpeh.


The king of Aphek, one; the king of Lasharon, one;


Ummah also, and Aphek, and Rehob: twenty and two cities with their villages.


And the word of Shmuel came to all Yisrael. Now Yisrael went out against the Plishtim to battle, and pitched beside Ebenezer: and the Plishtim pitched in Aphek.
