1 Now these are the kings of the land, which the children of Yisrael smote, and possessed their land on the other side Yarden toward the rising of the sun, from the river Arnon unto mount Hermon, and all the plain on the east:

Geber the son of Uri was in the country of Gilad, in the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer which was in the land.


As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of TZiyon: for there YY Commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.


And gave their land for an heritage: for his mercy endureth for ever:


The north and the south thou hast created them: Tavor and Hermon shall rejoice in thy name.


For it shall be, that, as a wandering bird cast out of the nest, so the daughters of Moab shall be at the fords of Arnon.


From thence they removed, and pitched on the other side of Arnon, which is in the wilderness that cometh out of the coasts of the Amorites: for Arnon is the border of Moab, between Moab and the Amorites.


And Yisrael sent messengers unto Sihon king of the Amorites, saying,


And Yisrael smote him with the edge of the sword, and possessed his land from Arnon unto Yabok, even unto the children of Ammon: for the border of the children of Ammon was strong.


For we will not inherit with them on yonder side Yarden, or forward; because our inheritance is fallen to us on this side Yarden eastward.


We will pass over armed before YY into the land of Kenaan, that the possession of our inheritance on this side Yarden may be our's.


And Moshe gave unto them, even to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuven, and unto half the tribe of Mnasheh the son of Yosef, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land, with the cities thereof in the coasts, even the cities of the country round about.


Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the river Arnon: behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle.


Then Sihon came out against us, he and all his people, to fight at YAHaz.


Then we turned, and went up the way to Bashan: and Og the king of Bashan came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at Edrei.


And this is the Torah which Moshe set before the children of Yisrael:


On this side Yarden, in the valley over against Bethpeor, in the land of Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt at Heshbon, whom Moshe and the children of Yisrael smote, after they were come forth out of Egypt:


From Aroer, which is by the bank of the river Arnon, even unto mount Sion, which is Hermon,


Until YY have given your brethren rest, as he hath given you, and they also have possessed the land which YY your Elohim giveth them: then ye shall return unto the land of your possession, and enjoy it, which Moshe YY 's servant gave you on this side Yarden toward the sunrising.


Even from the mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir, even unto Baalgad in the valley of Lvanon under mount Hermon: and all their kings he took, and smote them, and slew them.


And to the Kenaanite on the east and on the west, and to the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Yvusi in the mountains, and to the Hivite under Hermon in the land of Mizpeh.


With whom the Reuvenites and the Gadites have received their inheritance, which Moshe gave them, beyond Yarden eastward, even as Moshe the servant of YY gave them;


And now YY your Elohim hath given rest unto your brethren, as he promised them: therefore now return ye, and get you unto your tents, and unto the land of your possession, which Moshe the servant of YY gave you on the other side Yarden.


Then they went along through the wilderness, and compassed the land of Edom, and the land of Moab, and came by the east side of the land of Moab, and pitched on the other side of Arnon, but came not within the border of Moab: for Arnon was the border of Moab.
