Then Abram removed his tent, and came and dwelt in the plain of Mamre, which is in Hevron, and built there an altar unto YY .


And these are the numbers of the bands that were ready armed to the war, and came to David to Hevron, to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the word of YY .

Thus they gave to the children of Aharon the kohen Hevron with her suburbs, to be a city of refuge for the slayer; and Libnah with her suburbs,


And Yhudah went against the Kenaanim that dwelt in Hevron: (now the name of Hevron before was Kiryat-Arba:) and they slew Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai.


And they gave Hevron unto Kalev, as Moshe said: and he expelled thence the three sons of Anak.
