And it came to pass after this, that there arose war at Gezer with the Plishtim; at which time Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Sippai, that was of the children of the giant: and they were subdued.


And they gave unto them, of the cities of refuge, Shkhem in mount Efrayim with her suburbs; they gave also Gezer with her suburbs,


And YY delivered Lachish into the hand of Yisrael, which took it on the second day, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls that were therein, according to all that he had done to Libnah.


And from Lachish Y'howshu`a passed unto Eglon, and all Yisrael with him; and they encamped against it, and fought against it:


The king of Eglon, one; the king of Gezer, one;


And they drave not out the Kenaanim that dwelt in Gezer: but the Kenaanim dwell among the Efrayimites unto this day, and serve under tribute.


And goeth down westward to the coast of Japhleti, unto the coast of Bethhoron the nether, and to Gezer; and the goings out thereof are at the sea.


For they gave them Shkhem with her suburbs in mount Efrayim, to be a city of refuge for the slayer; and Gezer with her suburbs,


Neither did Efrayim drive out the Kenaanim that dwelt in Gezer; but the Kenaanim dwelt in Gezer among them.
