So YY smote the Ethiopians before Asa, and before Yhudah; and the Ethiopians fled.


But the soldiers of the army which Amaziah sent back, that they should not go with him to battle, fell upon the cities of Yhudah, from Shomron even unto Bethhoron, and smote three thousand of them, and took much spoil.


Yea, he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and discomfited them.


For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.


When El Shaddai scattered kings in it, it was white as snow in Salmon.


He cast out the heathen also before them, and divided them an inheritance by line, and made the tribes of Yisrael to dwell in their tents.


For YY shall rise up as in mount Perazim, he shall be wroth as in the valley of Givon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act.


And YY shall cause his glorious voice to be heard, and shall shew the lighting down of his arm, with the indignation of his anger, and with the flame of a devouring fire, with scattering, and tempest, and hailstones.


When the king of Bavel's army fought against Yerushalayim, and against all the cities of Yhudah that were left, against Lachish, and against Azekah: for these defenced cities remained of the cities of Yhudah.


Then shall YY go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.


But YY thy Elohim shall deliver them unto thee, and shall destroy them with a mighty destruction, until they be destroyed.


And it came to pass, as they fled from before Yisrael, and were in the going down to Bethhoron, that YY cast down great stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died: they were more which died with hailstones than they whom the children of Yisrael slew with the sword.


And that day Y'howshu`a took Makkedah, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and the king thereof he utterly destroyed, them, and all the souls that were therein; he let none remain: and he did to the king of Makkedah as he did unto the king of Yericho.


Y'howshu`a therefore came unto them suddenly, and went up from Gilgal all night.


And YY delivered them into the hand of Yisrael, who smote them, and chased them unto great Zidon, and unto Misrephothmaim, and unto the valley of Mizpeh eastward; and they smote them, until they left them none remaining.


The king of Makkedah, one; the king of Beit-El, one;


Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah,


And Gederoth, Bethdagon, and Naamah, and Makkedah; sixteen cities with their villages:


And goeth down westward to the coast of Japhleti, unto the coast of Bethhoron the nether, and to Gezer; and the goings out thereof are at the sea.


And the border of the children of Efrayim according to their families was thus: even the border of their inheritance on the east side was Atarothaddar, unto Bethhoron the upper;


And Kibzaim with her suburbs, and Bethhoron with her suburbs; four cities.


And YY discomfited Sisra, and all his chariots, and all his host, with the edge of the sword before Barak; so that Sisra lighted down off his chariot, and fled away on his feet.


But Barak pursued after the chariots, and after the host, unto Harosheth of the Gentiles: and all the host of Sisra fell upon the edge of the sword; and there was not a man left.


They fought from heaven; the stars in their courses fought against Sisra.


And another company turned the way to Bethhoron: and another company turned to the way of the border that looketh to the valley of Zeboim toward the wilderness.


Now the Plishtim gathered together their armies to battle, and were gathered together at Shochoh, which belongeth to Yhudah, and pitched between Shochoh and Azekah, in Ephesdammim.
