And David was then in an hold, and the garrison of the Plishtim was then in Bethlehem.


Now then do it: for YY hath spoken of David, saying, By the hand of my servant David I will save my people Yisrael out of the hand of the Plishtim, and out of the hand of all their enemies.


And David went on, and grew great, and YY Elohim of hosts was with him.


And I was with thee whithersoever thou wentest, and have cut off all thine enemies out of thy sight, and have made thee a great name, like unto the name of the great men that are in the earth.


And he put garrisons in Edom; throughout all Edom put he garrisons, and all they of Edom became David's servants. And YY preserved David whithersoever he went.


And he smote Moab, and measured them with a line, casting them down to the ground; even with two lines measured he to put to death, and with one full line to keep alive. And so the Moabites became David's servants, and brought gifts.


And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Yerushalayim.


And Shlomo reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Plishtim, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Shlomo all the days of his life.


Then Moab rebelled against Yisrael after the death of Achav.


Now the rest of the acts of Yarovam, and all that he did, and his might, how he warred, and how he recovered Dammesek, and Hamath, which belonged to Yhudah, for Yisrael, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Yisrael?


And YY was with him; and he prospered whithersoever he went forth: and he rebelled against the king of Ashur, and served him not.


And Mesha king of Moab was a sheepmaster, and rendered unto the king of Yisrael an hundred thousand lambs, and an hundred thousand rams, with the wool.


And he put garrisons in Edom; and all the Edomites became David's servants. Thus YY preserved David whithersoever he went.


And he placed forces in all the fenced cities of Yhudah, and set garrisons in the land of Yhudah, and in the cities of Efrayim, which Asa his father had taken.


O Elohim YY , the strength of my salvation, thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.


Wilt not thou, O Elohim, which hadst cast us off? and thou, O Elohim, which didst not go out with our armies?


The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of YY .


And Yhonatan smote the garrison of the Plishtim that was in Geba, and the Plishtim heard of it. And Saul blew the shofar throughout all the land, saying, Let the Hebrews hear.


Now it came to pass upon a day, that Yhonatan the son of Saul said unto the young man that bare his armour, Come, and let us go over to the Plishtim' garrison, that is on the other side. But he told not his father.


And there was trembling in the host, in the field, and among all the people: the garrison, and the spoilers, they also trembled, and the earth quaked: so it was a very great trembling.


And Yhonatan said to the young man that bare his armour, Come, and let us go over unto the garrison of these uncircumcised: it may be that YY will work for us: for there is no restraint to YY to save by many or by few.
