And Natan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith YY Elohim of Yisrael, I anointed thee king over Yisrael, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul;


And the woman said, Wherefore then hast thou thought such a thing against the people of Elohim? for the king doth speak this thing as one which is faulty, in that the king doth not fetch home again his banished.


Now these be the last words of David. David the son of Yishai said, and the man who was raised up on high, the anointed of the Elohim of Yaakov, and the sweet psalmist of Yisrael, said,


And David spake unto YY when he saw the angel that smote the people, and said, Lo, I have sinned, and I have done wickedly: but these sheep, what have they done? let thine hand, I pray thee, be against me, and against my father's house.


Also in time past, when Saul was king over us, thou wast he that leddest out and broughtest in Yisrael: and YY said to thee, Thou shalt feed my people Yisrael, and thou shalt be a captain over Yisrael.


And David said unto Mikhal, It was before YY , which chose me before thy father, and before all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of YY , over Yisrael: therefore will I play before YY .


And Shlomo said, Thou hast shewed unto thy servant David my father great mercy, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his Throne, as it is this day.


Since the day that I brought forth my people Yisrael out of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Yisrael to build an house, that my name might be therein; but I chose David to be over my people Yisrael.


Now therefore thus shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith YY -TZvaot, I took thee from the sheepcote, even from following the sheep, that thou shouldest be ruler over my people Yisrael:


And David said unto Elohim, Is it not I that Commanded the people to be numbered? even I it is that have sinned and done evil indeed; but as for these sheep, what have they done? let thine hand, I pray thee, O YY my Elohim, be on me, and on my father's house; but not on thy people, that they should be plagued.


And YY took me as I followed the flock, and YY said unto me, Go, prophesy unto my people Yisrael.


Who found favour before Elohim, and desired to find a Tabernacle for the Elohim of Yaakov.


Then Shmuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it not because YY hath anointed thee to be captain over his inheritance?


He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the Throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are YY 's, and he hath set the world upon them.


To morrow about this time I will send thee a man out of the land of Binyamin, and thou shalt anoint him to be captain over my people Yisrael, that he may save my people out of the hand of the Plishtim: for I have looked upon my people, because their cry is come unto me.
