And David said on that day, Whosoever getteth up to the gutter, and smiteth the Yvusis, and the lame and the blind that are hated of David's soul, he shall be chief and captain. Wherefore they said, The blind and the lame shall not come into the house.


So David dwelt in the fort, and called it the city of David. And David built round about from Millo and inward.


So David would not remove the ark of YY unto him into the city of David: but David carried it aside into the house of Ovededom the Gittite.


And it was told king David, saying, YY hath blessed the house of Ovededom, and all that pertaineth unto him, because of the ark of Elohim. So David went and brought up the ark of Elohim from the house of Ovededom into the city of David with gladness.


And as the ark of YY came into the city of David, Mikhal Saul's daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before YY ; and she despised him in her heart.


So David slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David.


And Shlomo made affinity with Pharaoh king of Egypt, and took Pharaoh's daughter, and brought her into the city of David, until he had made an end of building his own house, and the house of YY , and the wall of Yerushalayim round about.


Then Shlomo assembled the elders of Yisrael, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Yisrael, unto king Shlomo in Yerushalayim, that they might bring up the ark of the covenant of YY out of the city of David, which is TZiyon.


But Pharaoh's daughter came up out of the city of David unto her house which Shlomo had built for her: then did he build Millo.


And David dwelt in the castle; therefore they called it the city of David.


And they buried him in the city of David among the kings, because he had done good in Yisrael, both toward Elohim, and toward his house.


Then Shlomo assembled the elders of Yisrael, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Yisrael, unto Yerushalayim, to bring up the ark of the covenant of YY out of the city of David, which is TZiyon.


But the gate of the fountain repaired Shallun the son of Colhozeh, the ruler of part of Mizpah; he built it, and covered it, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof, and the wall of the pool of Siloah by the king's garden, and unto the stairs that go down from the city of David.


For YY hath chosen TZiyon; he hath desired it for his habitation.


Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of TZiyon.


Walk about TZiyon, and go round about her: tell the towers thereof.


Elohim is known in her palaces for a refuge.


Do good in thy good pleasure unto TZiyon: build thou the walls of Yerushalayim.


YY loveth the gates of TZiyon more than all the dwellings of Yaakov.


Sing praises to YY , which dwelleth in TZiyon: declare among the people his doings.


Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of TZiyon: for great is the Holy One of Yisrael in the midst of thee.


And shall come The Redeemer to TZiyon, and to turn them from transgression in Yaakov, saith YY .


Behold, I am against thee, O inhabitant of the valley, and rock of the plain, saith YY ; which say, Who shall come down against us? or who shall enter into our habitations?


And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of YY , and to the house of the Elohim of Yaakov; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the Torah shall go forth of TZiyon, and the word of YY from Yerushalayim.


As it is written, Behold, I lay in TZiyon a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.


But ye are come unto Mount TZiyon, and unto The City of the living Elohim, the heavenly Yerushalayim, and to an innumerable company of angels,


And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the Mount TZiyon, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.
