And David said, What have I to do with you, ye sons of TZruyah, that ye should this day be adversaries unto me? shall there any man be put to death this day in Yisrael? for do not I know that I am this day king over Yisrael?


So Yoav, and Abishai his brother slew Abner, because he had slain their brother Asahel at Givon in the battle.


Then was Abner very wroth for the words of Ishbosheth, and said, Am I a dog's head, which against Yhudah do shew kindness this day unto the house of Saul thy father, to his brethren, and to his friends, and have not delivered thee into the hand of David, that thou chargest me to day with a fault concerning this woman?


And he bowed himself, and said, What is thy servant, that thou shouldest look upon such a dead dog as I am?


Thou shalt not revile the elohim, nor curse the ruler of thy people.


And when his talmidim Yaakov and Yochanan saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Eliyahu did?


Then said Paul, I wist not, brethren, that he was kohen hagadol: for it is written, Thou shalt not speak evil of the ruler of thy people.


Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear Elohim. Honour the king.


After whom is the king of Yisrael come out? after whom dost thou pursue? after a dead dog, after a flea.
