Then Yaakov said unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put away the strange elohim that are among you, and be clean, and change your garments:


Because that they have forsaken me, and have worshipped Ashtoreth the Elohimdess of the Zidonians, Kmosh the Elohim of the Moabites, and Milcom the Elohim of the children of Ammon, and have not walked in my ways, to do that which is right in mine eyes, and to keep my statutes and my judgments, as did David his father.


And so return unto thee with all their heart, and with all their soul, in the land of their enemies, which led them away captive, and pray unto thee toward their land, which thou gavest unto their fathers, the city which thou hast chosen, and the house which I have built for thy name:


But YY your Elohim ye shall fear; and he shall deliver you out of the hand of all your enemies.


Moreover the altar that was at Beit-El, and the high place which Yarovam the son of Nebat, who made Yisrael to sin, had made, both that altar and the high place he brake down, and burned the high place, and stamped it small to powder, and burned the grove.


Now set your heart and your soul to seek YY your Elohim; arise therefore, and build ye the sanctuary of YY Elohim, to bring the ark of the covenant of YY , and the holy vessels of Elohim, into the house that is to be built to the name of YY .


And thou, Shlomo my son, know thou the Elohim of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for YY searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.


Nevertheless there are good things found in thee, in that thou hast taken away the groves out of the land, and hast prepared thine heart to seek Elohim.


Howbeit the high places were not taken away: for as yet the people had not prepared their hearts unto the Elohim of their fathers.


That prepareth his heart to seek Elohim, YY Elohim of his fathers, though he be not cleansed according to the purification of the sanctuary.


The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from YY .


Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto YY , and he will have mercy upon him; and to our Elohim, for he will abundantly pardon.


And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am YY : and they shall be my people, and I will be their Elohim: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.


It may be that the house of Yhudah will hear all the evil which I purpose to do unto them; that they may return every man from his evil way; that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin.


If thou wilt return, O Yisrael, saith YY , return unto me: and if thou wilt put away thine abominations out of my sight, then shalt thou not remove.


Therefore say unto the house of Yisrael, Thus saith YY Elohim; Repent, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations.


Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Yisrael?


O Yisrael, return unto YY thy Elohim; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity.


This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.


Then saith Y'shuw`a unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship YY thy Elohim, and him only shalt thou serve.


No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve Elohim and mammon.


And Y'shuw`a answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship YY thy Elohim, and him ONLY shalt thou serve.


Elohim is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.


Thou shalt fear YY thy Elohim; him shalt thou serve, and to him shalt thou cleave, and swear by his name.


Ye shall walk after YY your Elohim, and fear him, and keep His Commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.


But if from thence thou shalt seek YY thy Elohim, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.


Thou shalt fear YY thy Elohim, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name.


And half Gilad, and Ashtaroth, and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, were pertaining unto the children of Machir the son of Mnasheh, even to the one half of the children of Machir by their families.


Now therefore fear YY , and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the elohim which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye YY .


Now therefore put away, said he, the strange elohim which are among you, and incline your heart unto YY Elohim of Yisrael.


And they put away the strange elohim from among them, and served YY : and his soul was grieved for the misery of Yisrael.


And the children of Yisrael did evil again in the sight of YY , and served Baalim, and Ashtaroth, and the elohim of Syria, and the elohim of Zidon, and the elohim of Moab, and the elohim of the children of Ammon, and the elohim of the Plishtim, and forsook YY , and served not him.


And the children of Yisrael did evil in the sight of YY , and served Baalim:


And they forsook YY , and served Baal and Ashtaroth.


And they put his armour in the house of Ashtaroth: and they fastened his body to the wall of Bethshan.
