Mark 6:4
6 Tagairtí Cros

The Lord said to me, “Those people from Anathoth are planning to take your life. They are telling you not to prophesy in the name of the Lord or they will kill you. This is what I have to say about them:

These men are your own brothers. Members of your own family are making plans against you. People from your own family are shouting at you. Don’t trust them, even when they speak to you like friends.

So they had a problem accepting him. But Jesus said to them, “People everywhere give honor to a prophet, but in his own town or in his own home a prophet does not get any honor.”

Jesus left and went back to his hometown. His followers went with him.

Then he said, “The truth is, a prophet is not accepted in his own hometown.

(Jesus had said before that a prophet is not respected in his own country.)
