He sent darkness to cover their land, but the Egyptians did not listen to him.


The sun will be changed into darkness, and the moon will be as red as blood. Then the great and fearful day of the Lord will come!


Some of you want to see the Lord’s special day of judgment. Why do you want to see that day of the Lord? His special day will bring darkness, not light.


The Lord GOD also said, “At that time I will make the sun set at noon and make the land dark on a clear day.


At noon the whole country became dark. The darkness continued for three hours.


The graves opened, and many of God’s people who had died were raised from death.


The army officer who was standing there in front of the cross saw what happened when Jesus died. The officer said, “This man really was the Son of God!”


It was now almost noon on Preparation day of Passover week. Pilate said to the Jews, “Here is your king!”


The sun will be changed into darkness, and the moon will be as red as blood. Then the great and glorious day of the Lord will come.
