He went to the town where he grew up. He taught the people in the synagogue, and they were amazed. They said, “Where did this man get such wisdom and this power to do miracles?


When the people heard this, they were amazed at Jesus’ teaching.


When Jesus finished speaking, the people were amazed at his teaching.


They were amazed at his teaching. He did not teach like their teachers of the law. He taught like someone with authority.


When the leading priests and the teachers of the law heard what Jesus said, they began trying to find a way to kill him. They were afraid of him because all the people were amazed at his teaching.


On the Sabbath day Jesus taught in the synagogue, and many people heard him. They were amazed and said, “Where did this man get this teaching? How did he get such wisdom? Who gave it to him? And where did he get the power to do miracles?


Everyone was surprised when they heard what the shepherds told them.


After three days they found him. Jesus was sitting in the Temple area with the religious teachers, listening and asking them questions.


Everyone there said good things about Jesus. They were amazed to hear him speak such wonderful words. They said, “How is this possible? Isn’t he Joseph’s son?”


They were amazed at his teaching because he spoke with authority.


The Jewish leaders were amazed and said, “How did this man learn so much? He never had the kind of teaching we had!”


The Temple police answered, “We have never heard anyone say such amazing things!”
