4 It is the same with ships. A ship is very big, and it is pushed by strong winds. But a very small rudder controls that big ship. And the one who controls the rudder decides where the ship will go. It goes where he wants it to go.

But the Lord brought a great storm on the sea. The wind made the sea very rough. The storm was very strong, and the boat was ready to break apart.


“My Father has given me everything. No one knows the Son—only the Father knows the Son. And no one knows the Father—only the Son knows the Father. And the only people who will know about the Father are those the Son chooses to tell.


After the boat left the shore, a very bad storm began on the lake. The waves covered the boat. But Jesus was sleeping.


But the captain and the owner of the ship did not agree with Paul. So the army officer accepted what they said instead of believing Paul.


We put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us. With these bits we can control their whole body.


It is the same with our tongue. It is a small part of the body, but it can boast about doing great things. A big forest fire can be started with only a little flame.
