You don’t help crooked judges. They use the law to make life hard for the people.

I also saw these things in this life: I saw that the courts should be filled with goodness and fairness, but there is evil there now.

“You must be fair in judgment. You must not show special favor to the poor. And you must not show special favor to important people. You must be fair when you judge your neighbor.

“You must be fair when you judge people, and you must be fair when you measure and weigh things.

He calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out on the earth. His name is YAHWEH! He keeps one strong city safe, and he lets another strong city be destroyed.” You change justice to poison. You throw away fairness like trash.

So Annas sent Jesus to Caiaphas the high priest. He was still tied.

“Our law will not let us judge anyone without first hearing them and finding out what they have done.”

The men standing near Paul said to him, “Are you sure you want to insult God’s high priest like that?”
