There was war for a long time between Saul’s family and David’s family. David became stronger and stronger, but Saul’s family became weaker and weaker.


The sixth son was Ithream. Ithream’s mother was David’s wife Eglah. These sons were all born at Hebron.


Then Jehu and Jehonadab son of Recab went into the temple of Baal. Jehu said to the worshipers of Baal, “Look around and be sure that there are no servants of the Lord with you. Be sure there are only people who worship Baal.”


Maybe you will make yourself strong and ready for war, but God can help you win or help you lose.”

Saul’s wife was named Ahinoam. Ahinoam was the daughter of Ahimaaz. The commander of Saul’s army was named Abner son of Ner. Ner was Saul’s uncle.
