The LORD said, *I will destroy man whom I have created from the surface of the ground; man, along with animals, creeping things, and birds of the sky; for I am sorry that I have made them.*


Therefore, by this the iniquity of Ya`akov will be forgiven, and this is all the fruit of taking away his sin: that he makes all the stones of the altar as chalk stones that are beaten in pieces, so that the Asherim and the incense altars shall rise no more.


Then I said, *Lord, how long?* He answered, *Until cities are waste without inhabitant, and houses without man, and the land becomes utterly waste,


And the LORD has removed men far away, and the forsaken places are many in the midst of the land.


How long shall the land mourn, and the herbs of the whole country wither? for the wickedness of those who dwell therein, the animals are consumed, and the birds; because they said, He shall not see our latter end.


For out of the north there comes up a nation against her, which shall make her land desolate, and none shall dwell therein: they are fled, they are gone, both man and animal.


Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, my anger and my wrath shall be poured out on this place, on man, and on animal, and on the trees of the field, and on the fruit of the ground; and it shall burn, and shall not be quenched.


For the mountains will I take up a weeping and wailing, and for the pastures of the wilderness a lamentation, because they are burned up, so that none passes through; neither can men hear the voice of the livestock; both the birds of the sky and the animals are fled, they are gone.


Because they ministered to them before their idols, and became a stumbling block of iniquity to the house of Yisra'el; therefore have I lifted up my hand against them, says the Lord GOD, and they shall bear their iniquity.


They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be as an unclean thing; their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels; because it has been the stumbling block of their iniquity.


Ashur can't save us. We won't ride on horses; neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, 'Our gods!' for in you the fatherless finds mercy.*

The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will gather out of his Kingdom all things that cause stumbling, and them which do Torah-less-ness,


For I tell you, you will not see me from now on, until you say, 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!'*


But I have a few things against you, because you have there some who hold the teaching of Bil`am, who taught Balak to throw a stumbling block before the children of Yisra'el, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality.
