I will stir up the Egyptians against the Egyptians, and they will fight everyone against his brother, and everyone against his neighbor; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom.


Behold, I will send for many fishermen, says the LORD, and they shall fish them up; and afterward I will send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the clefts of the rocks.


Does the shofar alarm sound in a city, without the people being afraid? Does evil happen to a city, and the LORD hasn't done it?


Though they go into captivity before their enemies, there I will command the sword, and it will kill them. I will set my eyes on them for evil, and not for good.


Now, please consider from this day and backward, before a stone was laid on a stone in the temple of the LORD.


Far from the noise of archers, in the places of drawing water, there they will rehearse the righteous acts of the LORD, [Even] the righteous acts of his rule in Yisra'el. Then the people of the LORD went down to the gates.
