The measuring line shall go out further straight onward to the hill Garev, and shall turn about to Go`ah.


He brought me there; and, behold, there was a man, whose appearance was like the appearance of brass, with a line of flax in his hand, and a measuring reed; and he stood in the gate.


You shall appoint the possession of the city five thousand broad, and twenty-five thousand long, side by side with the offering of the holy portion: it shall be for the whole house of Yisra'el.


Therefore thus says the LORD: *I have returned to Yerushalayim with mercy. My house shall be built in it,* says the LORD of Armies, *and a line shall be stretched forth over Yerushalayim.*'


Then said I to the angel who talked with me, *Where are these carrying the efah basket?*


But now I am going to him who sent me, and none of you asks me, 'Where are you going?'


A reed like a rod was given to me. Someone said, *Rise, and measure God's temple, and the altar, and those who worship in it.
