Then the Kohanim the Levites arose and blessed the people: and their voice was heard, and their prayer came up to his holy habitation, even to heaven.


The LORD is in his holy temple. The LORD is on his throne in heaven. His eyes observe. His eyes examine the children of men.


*Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth.*


A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.


Then the Lord awakened as one out of sleep, like a mighty man who shouts by reason of wine.


The peoples will take them, and bring them to their place. The house of Yisra'el will possess them in the LORD's land for servants and for handmaids. They will take as captives those whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors.


In that day the Egyptians will be like women. They will tremble and fear because of the shaking of the hand of the LORD of Armies, which he shakes over them.


*Keep silent before me, islands, and let the peoples renew their strength. Let them come near, then let them speak. Let's meet together for judgment.


Awake, awake, put on strength, arm of the LORD; awake, as in the days of old, the generations of ancient times. Isn't it you who did cut Rachav in pieces, who pierced the monster?


For thus says the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also who is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite.


you who inflame yourselves among the oaks, under every green tree; who kill the children in the valleys, under the clefts of the rocks?


Look down from heaven, and see from the habitation of your holiness and of your glory: where are your zeal and your mighty acts? the yearning of your heart and your compassion is restrained toward me.


Therefore prophesy you against them all these words, and tell them, the LORD will roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he will mightily roar against his fold; he will give a shout, as those who tread [the grapes], against all the inhabitants of the earth.


But the LORD is in his holy temple. Let all the earth be silent before him!*


Be silent at the presence of the Lord GOD, for the day of the LORD is at hand. For the LORD has prepared a sacrifice. He has consecrated his guests.


Therefore as I live, says the LORD of Armies, the God of Yisra'el, surely Mo'av will be as Sedom, and the children of `Ammon as `Amorah, a possession of nettles, and salt pits, and a perpetual desolation. The remnant of my people will plunder them, and the survivors of my nation will inherit them.


*Therefore wait for me,* says the LORD, *until the day that I rise up to the prey, for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour on them my indignation, even all my fierce anger, for all the earth will be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.


*The hands of Zerubbavel have laid the foundation of this house. His hands shall also finish it; and you will know that the LORD of Armies has sent me to you.


Those who are far off shall come and build in the temple of the LORD; and you shall know that the LORD of Armies has sent me to you. This will happen, if you will diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God.*'*


Now we know that whatever things the law says, it speaks to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be closed, and all the world may be brought under the judgment of God.


But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed ask him who formed it, *Why did you make me like this?*


If you say in your heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?


when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing doesn't follow, nor happen, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken: the prophet has spoken it presumptuously, you shall not be afraid of him.


Look down from your holy habitation, from heaven, and bless your people Yisra'el, and the ground which you have given us, as you swore to our fathers, a land flowing with milk and honey.
