Their infants also will be dashed in pieces before their eyes. Their houses will be ransacked, and their wives raped.


It will happen, that he who is left in Tziyon, and he who remains in Yerushalayim, shall be called holy, even everyone who is written among the living in Yerushalayim;


He will lift up a banner to the nations from far, and he will whistle for them from the end of the earth. Behold, they will come speedily and swiftly.


But be you glad and rejoice forever in that which I create; for, behold, I create Yerushalayim a rejoicing, and her people a joy.


Thus says the LORD, the God of Yisra'el, Behold, I will turn back the weapons of war that are in your hands, with which you fight against the king of Bavel, and against the Kasdim who besiege you, without the walls; and I will gather them into the midst of this city.


The word which came to Yirmeyahu from the LORD, when Nevukhadnetzar 1 king of Bavel, and all his army, and all the kingdoms of the earth that were under his dominion, and all the peoples, were fighting against Yerushalayim, and against all the cities of it, saying:

*Behold, I will make Yerushalayim a cup of reeling to all the surrounding peoples, and on Yehudah also will it be in the siege against Yerushalayim.


It will happen in that day, that I will make Yerushalayim a burdensome stone for all the peoples. All who burden themselves with it will be severely wounded, and all the nations of the earth will be gathered together against it.


It will happen in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Yerushalayim.


When the king heard that, he was angry, and sent his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned their city.


But when you see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniyel the prophet, standing where it ought not (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Yehudah flee to the mountains,


For in those days there will be oppression, such as there has not been the like from the beginning of the creation which God created until now, and never will be.


Now it happened in those days, that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be enrolled.
