My soul, don't come into their council. My glory, don't be united to their assembly; for in their anger they killed men. In their self-will they hamstrung oxen.


He who is quick to become angry will commit folly, and a crafty man is hated.


A wrathful man stirs up contention, but one who is slow to anger appeases strife.


One who is slow to anger is better than the mighty; one who rules his spirit, than he who takes a city.


Don't be hasty in your spirit to be angry, for anger rests in the bosom of fools.


They also reel with wine, and stagger with strong drink. The Kohen and the prophet reel with strong drink. They are swallowed up by wine. They stagger with strong drink. They err in vision. They stumble in judgment.


Neither shall any of the Kohanim drink wine, when they enter into the inner court.


*Drink no wine nor strong drink, you, nor your sons with you, when you go into the Tent of Meeting, that you don't die: it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations:

As each has received a gift, employ it in serving one another, as good managers of the grace of God in its various forms.

but chiefly those who walk after the flesh in the lust of defilement, and despise authority. Daring, self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries;
