However, because by this deed you have given great occasion to the LORD's enemies to blaspheme, the child also who is born to you shall surely die.*


Now therefore, what do I here, says the LORD, seeing that my people is taken away for nothing? those who rule over them do howl, says the LORD, and my name continually all the day is blasphemed.


Therefore, son of man, speak to the house of Yisra'el, and tell them, Thus says the Lord GOD: In this moreover have your fathers blasphemed me, in that they have committed a trespass against me.


*Woe to the world because of occasions of stumbling! For it must be that the occasions come, but woe to that person through whom the occasion comes!


I desire therefore that the younger widows marry, bear children, rule the household, and give no occasion to the adversary for reviling.


Let as many as are bondservants under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor, that the name of God and the doctrine not be blasphemed.


to be sober minded, chaste, workers at home, kind, being in subjection to their own husbands, that God's word may not be blasphemed.


and soundness of speech that can't be condemned; that he who opposes you may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say about us.


Many will follow their immoral ways, and as a result, the way of the truth will be maligned.
