I will surely require your blood of your lives. At the hand of every animal I will require it. At the hand of man, even at the hand of every man's brother, I will require the life of man.


and also for the innocent blood that he shed; for he filled Yerushalayim with innocent blood: and the LORD would not pardon.


But you do see trouble and grief. You consider it to take it into your hand. You help the victim and the fatherless.


LORD, you have heard the desire of the humble. You will prepare their heart. You will cause your ear to hear,


He has responded to the prayer of the destitute, and has not despised their prayer.


For the LORD has chosen Tziyon. He has desired it for his habitation.


For he has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted, Neither has he hidden his face from him; but when he cried to him, he heard.


This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.


The chariots of God are tens of thousands and thousands of thousands. The Lord is among them, from Sinai, into the sanctuary.


Remember your congregation, which you purchased of old, which you have redeemed to be the tribe of your inheritance; Mount Tziyon, in which you have lived.


There he broke the flaming arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the weapons of war. Selah.


The LORD said, *I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.

Behold, I and the children whom the LORD has given me are for signs and for wonders in Yisra'el from the LORD of Armies, who dwells in Mount Tziyon.


that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Hevel to the blood of Zekharyah son of Berekhyah, whom you killed between the sanctuary and the altar.


For they poured out the blood of the holy ones and the prophets, and you have given them blood to drink. They deserve this.*


They put away the foreign gods from among them, and served the LORD; and his soul was grieved for the misery of Yisra'el.
