but my loving kindness shall not depart from him, as I took it from Sha'ul, whom I put away before you.


I will for this afflict the seed of David, but not forever.


I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my loving kindness away from him, as I took it from him that was before you;


Do not abhor [us], for your name's sake; do not disgrace the throne of your glory: remember, don't break your covenant with us.


Thus says the LORD: If you can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, so that there shall not be day and night in their season;


Yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them; for I am the LORD their God;


*For I, the LORD, don't change; therefore you, sons of Ya`akov, are not consumed.


God is not a man, that he should lie, nor the son of man, that he should repent. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not make it good?


Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.


For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.


Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow.
