Why should the nations say, *Where is their God, now?*


As with a sword in my bones, my adversaries reproach me, while they continually ask me, *Where is your God?*


Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him, the saving help of my countenance, and my God.


My tears have been my food day and night, while they continually ask me, *Where is your God?*


These things I remember, and pour out my soul within me, how I used to go with the crowd, and led them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, a multitude keeping a holy day.


so that men shall say, *Most certainly there is a reward for the righteous. Most certainly there is a God who judges the earth.*


The LORD has made himself known. He has executed judgment. The wicked is snared by the work of his own hands. Meditation. Selah.


LORD, you God to whom vengeance belongs, you God to whom vengeance belongs, shine forth.


and I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God; and you shall know that I am the LORD your God, who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.


The Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I stretch forth my hand on Egypt, and bring out the children of Yisra'el from among them.*


Oh that you would tear the heavens, that you would come down, that the mountains might quake at your presence,


I will render to Bavel and to all the inhabitants of Kasdim all their evil that they have done in Tziyon in your sight, says the LORD.


The violence done to me and to my flesh be on Bavel, shall the inhabitant of Tziyon say; and, My blood be on the inhabitants of Kasdim, shall Yerushalayim say.


Let all their wickedness come before you; Do to them, as you have done to me for all my transgressions: For my sighs are many, and my heart is faint.


I will sanctify my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in the midst of them; and the nations shall know that I am the LORD, says the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.


Let the Kohanim, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, *Spare your people, LORD, and don't give your heritage to reproach, that the nations should rule over them. Why should they say among the peoples, 'Where is their God?'*


Then my enemy will see it, and shame will cover her who said to me, where is the LORD your God? Then my enemy will see me and will cover her shame. Now she will be trodden down like the mire of the streets.


Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, *Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.*


Rejoice, you nations, [with] his people, for he will avenge the blood of his servants. He will render vengeance to his adversaries, And will make expiation for his land, for his people.


*Rejoice over her, O heaven, you holy ones, emissaries, and prophets; for God has judged your judgment on her.*
