He makes the storm a calm, so that its waves are still.


Don't forget the voice of your adversaries. The tumult of those who rise up against you ascends continually.


Surely the wrath of man praises you. The survivors of your wrath are restrained.


You rule the pride of the sea. When its waves rise up, you calm them.


The LORD reigns! He is clothed with majesty! The LORD is armed with strength. The world also is established. It can't be moved.


He has made the earth by his power, he has established the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding has he stretched out the heavens:


So they took up Yonah, and threw him into the sea; and the sea ceased its raging.


But the LORD sent out a great wind on the sea, and there was a mighty storm on the sea, so that the ship was likely to break up.


When therefore he said to them, *I AM,* they went backward, and fell to the ground.


Pilate answered, *What I have written, I have written.*


When he had thus spoken, he dismissed the assembly.
