Avshalom sent for Achitofel the Giloni, David's counselor, from his city, even from Giloh, while he was offering the sacrifices. The conspiracy was strong; for the people increased continually with Avshalom.


Kiss the son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath will soon be kindled. Blessed are all those who take refuge in him.


Trust in the LORD, and do good. Dwell in the land, and enjoy safe pasture.


Offer to God the sacrifice of thanksgiving. Pay your vows to the Elyon.


Then you will delight in the sacrifices of righteousness, in burnt offerings and in whole burnt offerings. Then they will offer bulls on your altar.


Trust in him at all times, you people. Pour out your heart before him. God is a refuge for us. Selah.


*Will the Lord reject us forever? Will he be favorable no more?


Who is among you who fears the LORD, who obeys the voice of his servant? He who walks in darkness, and has no light, let him trust in the name of the LORD, and rely on his God.


For I, the LORD, love justice, I hate robbery with iniquity; and I will give them their recompense in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.

*If therefore you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you,


They shall call the peoples to the mountain. There they will offer sacrifices of righteousness, for they shall draw out the abundance of the seas, the hidden treasures of the sand.


Therefore let them also who suffer according to the will of God in doing good entrust their souls to him, as to a faithful Creator.
