Asa cried to the LORD his God, and said, LORD, there is none besides you to help, between the mighty and him who has no strength: help us, LORD our God; for we rely on you, and in your name are we come against this multitude. LORD, you are our God; don't let man prevail against you.


How much less man, who is a worm, the son of man, who is a worm!*


Yes, no one who waits for you shall be shamed. They shall be shamed who deal treacherously without cause.


Because of all my adversaries I have become utterly contemptible to my neighbors, A fear to my acquaintances. Those who saw me on the street fled from me.


My enemies speak evil against me: *When will he die, and his name perish?*


You have taken my friends from me. You have made me an abomination to them. I am confined, and I can't escape.


Don't be afraid, you worm Ya`akov, and you men of Yisra'el. I will help you,* says the LORD, *and your Redeemer is the Holy One of Yisra'el.
