For the LORD saw the affliction of Yisra'el, that it was very bitter; for there was none shut up nor left at large, neither was there any helper for Yisra'el.


Why do you stand far off, LORD? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?


You have seen it, LORD. Don't keep silent. Lord, don't be far from me.


Don't forsake me, LORD. My God, don't be far from me.


Draw near to my soul, and redeem it. Ransom me because of my enemies.


God, don't be far from me. My God, hurry to help me.


I have relied on you from the womb. You are he who took me out of my mother's womb. I will always praise you.


For he will deliver the needy when he cries; the poor, who has no helper.


I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore my own arm brought salvation to me; and my wrath, it upheld me.


But all this has happened, that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled.* Then all the talmidim left him, and fled.


Again he denied it with an oath, *I don't know the man.*


Then he began to curse and to swear, *I don't know the man!* Immediately the rooster crowed.
