You, Shlomo my son, know the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts: if you seek him, he will be found of you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.


I know also, my God, that you try the heart, and have pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy your people, that are present here, offer willingly to you.


But he knows the way that I take. When he has tried me, I shall come forth like gold.


The murderer rises with the light. He kills the poor and needy. In the night he is like a thief.


The LORD examines the righteous, but the wicked and him who loves violence his soul hates.


I have sworn, and have confirmed it, that I will obey your righteous ordinances.


Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts.


I will bless the LORD, who has given me counsel. Yes, my heart instructs me in the night seasons.


Examine me, LORD, and prove me. Try my heart and my mind.


For you, God, have tested us. You have refined us, as silver is refined.


if I have rewarded evil to him who was at shalom with me (yes, if I have delivered him who without cause was my adversary),


He who guards his mouth guards his soul. One who opens wide his lips comes to ruin.


But you, LORD, know me; you see me, and try my heart toward you: pull them out like sheep for the slaughter, and prepare them for the day of slaughter.


In those days, and in that time, says the LORD, the iniquity of Yisra'el shall be sought for, and there shall be none; and the sins of Yehudah, and they shall not be found: for I will pardon them whom I leave as a remnant.


For they have made ready their heart like an oven, while they lie in wait. Their baker sleeps all the night. In the morning it burns as a flaming fire.


Woe to those who devise iniquity and work evil on their beds! When the morning is light, they practice it, because it is in the power of their hand.


I will bring the third part into the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will test them like gold is tested. They will call on my name, and I will hear them. I will say, 'It is my people;' and they will say, 'The LORD is my God.'*


*But who can endure the day of his coming? And who will stand when he appears? For he is like a refiner's fire, and like launderer's soap;


who, when he had come, and had seen the grace of God, was glad. He exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they should remain near to the Lord.


A vision appeared to Sha'ul in the night. There was a man of Macedonia standing, begging him, and saying, *Come over into Macedonia and help us.*


For I know nothing against myself. Yet I am not justified by this, but he who judges me is the Lord.


For our boasting is this: the testimony of our conscience, that in holiness and sincerity of God, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God we behaved ourselves in the world, and more abundantly toward you.


For in many things we all stumble. If anyone doesn't stumble in word, the same is a perfect man, able to bridle the whole body also.


that the proof of your faith, which is more precious than gold that perishes even though it is tested by fire, may be found to result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Yeshua the Messiah--


Behold, this day your eyes have seen how that the LORD had delivered you today into my hand in the cave: and some bade me kill you; but [my eye] spared you; and I said, I will not put forth my hand against my lord; for he is the LORD's anointed.


The LORD judge between me and you, and the LORD avenge me of you; but my hand shall not be on you.


The LORD forbid that I should put forth my hand against the LORD's anointed: but now please take the spear that is at his head, and the jar of water, and let us go.


The LORD will render to every man his righteousness and his faithfulness; because the LORD delivered you into my hand today, and I wouldn't put forth my hand against the LORD's anointed.
