The Kohanim and the Levites purified themselves; and they purified the people, and the gates, and the wall.


Now it happened, when it was reported to Sanvallat and Toviyah, and to Geshem the Arabian, and to the rest of our enemies, that I had built the wall, and that there was no breach left therein; (though even to that time I had not set up the doors in the gates;)


Now it happened, when the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and the porters and the singers and the Levites were appointed,


I said to them, Don't let the gates of Yerushalayim be opened until the sun be hot; and while they stand [on guard], let them shut the doors, and bar you them: and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Yerushalayim, everyone in his watch, and everyone [to be] over against his house.


As the mountains surround Yerushalayim, so the LORD surrounds his people from this time forth and forevermore.


Then our sons will be like well-nurtured plants, our daughters like pillars carved to adorn a palace.


Do well in your good pleasure to Tziyon. Build the walls of Yerushalayim.


Thus says the LORD: Yet again there shall be heard in this place, about which you say, It is waste, without man and without animal, even in the cities of Yehudah, and in the streets of Yerushalayim, that are desolate, without man and without inhabitant and without animal,


the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who say, Give thanks to the LORD of Armies, for the LORD is good, for his loving kindness endures forever; [and of them] who bring [sacrifices of] thanksgiving into the house of the LORD. For I will cause the captivity of the land to return as at the first, says the LORD.


The kings of the earth didn't believe, neither all the inhabitants of the world, That the adversary and the enemy would enter into the gates of Yerushalayim.


Know therefore and discern, that from the going forth of the mitzvah to restore and to build Yerushalayim to the Anointed One, the prince, shall be seven weeks, and sixty-two weeks: it shall be built again, with street and moat, even in troubled times.
