As a servant who earnestly desires the shadow, as a hireling who looks for his wages,


My tears have been my food day and night, while they continually ask me, *Where is your God?*


If we have forgotten the name of our God, or spread forth our hands to a strange god;


My soul longs, and even faints for the courts of the LORD. My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.


Do you show wonders to the dead? Do the dead rise up and praise you? Selah.


My eyes are dim from grief. I have called on you daily, LORD. I have spread out my hands to you.


Moshe said to him, *As soon as I have gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands to the LORD. The thunders shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that you may know that the earth is the LORD's.
