Psalm 14:6

I cried to you, the LORD. I said, *You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.*


Many there are who say of my soul, *There is no help for him in God.* Selah.


You sons of men, how long shall my glory be turned into dishonor? Will you love vanity, and seek after falsehood? Selah.


But I am poor and needy. May the Lord think about me. You are my help and my deliverer. Don't delay, my God.


As with a sword in my bones, my adversaries reproach me, while they continually ask me, *Where is your God?*


The LORD will also be a high tower for the oppressed; a high tower in times of trouble.


Because you have said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it; whereas the LORD was there:


Now if you are ready whenever you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe, and all kinds of music to fall down and worship the image which I have made, [well]: but if you don't worship, you shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that god that shall deliver you out of my hands?


that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to take hold of the hope set before us.
