The burden of the wilderness of the sea. As whirlwinds in the South sweep through, it comes from the wilderness, from an awesome land.


Who says of Koresh, [He is] my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure, even saying of Yerushalayim, She shall be built; and of the temple, Your foundation shall be laid.


The word that the LORD spoke concerning Bavel, concerning the land of the Kasdim, by Yirmeyahu the prophet.


Call together the archers against Bavel, all those who bend the bow; encamp against her round about; let none of it escape: recompense her according to her work; according to all that she has done, do to her; for she has been proud against the LORD, against the Holy One of Yisra'el.


'Come, Tziyon! Escape, you who dwell with the daughter of Bavel.'


*Rejoice over her, O heaven, you holy ones, emissaries, and prophets; for God has judged your judgment on her.*


Return to her just as she returned, and repay her double as she did, and according to her works. In the cup which she mixed, mix to her double.
