Psalm 115:4

They took the bull which was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Ba`al from morning even until noon, saying, Ba`al, hear us. But there was no voice, nor any who answered. They leaped about the altar which was made.


It was so, when midday was past, that they prophesied until the time of the offering of the [evening] offering; but there was neither voice, nor any to answer, nor any who regarded.


and have cast their gods into the fire; for they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone; therefore they have destroyed them.


They spoke of the God of Yerushalayim, as of the gods of the peoples of the earth, which are the work of men's hands.


Let all them be shamed who serve engraved images, who boast in their idols. Worship him, all you gods!


and have cast their gods into the fire; for they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone; therefore they have destroyed them.


*Those who trust in engraved images, who tell molten images, 'You are our gods' will be turned back. They will be utterly disappointed.


Who has fashioned a god, or molds an image that is profitable for nothing?


He feeds on ashes; a deceived heart has turned him aside; and he can't deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?


Everyone who makes an engraved image is vain. The things that they delight in will not profit. Their own witnesses don't see, nor know, that they may be disappointed.


that whenever you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe, and all kinds of music, you fall down and worship the golden image that Nevukhadnetzar 1 the king has set up;


but have lifted up yourself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before you, and you and your lords, your wives and your concubines, have drunk wine from them; and you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which don't see, nor hear, nor know; and the God in whose hand your breath is, and whose are all your ways, you have not glorified.


For this is even from Yisra'el! The workman made it, and it is no God; indeed, the calf of Shomron shall be broken in pieces.


You see and hear, that not at Ephesus alone, but almost throughout all Asia, this Sha'ul has persuaded and turned away many people, saying that they are no gods, that are made with hands.


When the town clerk had quieted the multitude, he said, *You men of Ephesus, what man is there who doesn't know that the city of the Efesim is temple keeper of the great goddess Artemis, and of the image which fell down from Zeus?


There you shall serve gods, the work of men's hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.
